During our Imago Dei prayer and fast, God spoke some especially meaningful things to me. Sometimes, the simple things get really complicated as we try to translate them from head to heart. Heres where LOVE gets tangled for me.
I asked God “What do you think of me?”
I love you.

Oh, that’s true, and sweet. Thanks God. [...]

The girs took a cupcake decorating class at JoAnns Craft Store and had alot of fun with the fondant. It is weird stuff, mostly corn syrup and sugar. Not too tasty, in fact, I wouldn’t recommend eating it at ALL! That said, it is quite fun to mold and create with. The girls summer treats [...]

This little guy just keeps the laughs coming. He somehow managed to unattach Cowboy Woody’s hat so, of course, it presented an irrisistable photo op.
I love how his eyes disappear with that HUGE grin…. he is such a fun little guy.  I’m delighted he is part of our family. He has such a sweet disposition, [...]

The girls and I are part of a mother/daughter discipleship group called SonFlower Sisters, created by Deb Lembach ( a ridiculously talented woman, wink wink) and on the fourth Sunday of each month we come together as a group for some discussion, fun and creativity.
This month we discussed the important role of a pantry [...]

Boy in a Box

Joey decided this shop vac box would be a great space ship to go to ‘ouder space’ in. It also became a great way to take a trip to Kentucky to visit MaMaw. He loaded up with juice, snacks and a blanket and waited on the porch for the mailman to carry him off. I [...]

Look Gabe, Daddy’s home!

Do you like peas?

Do you love mommy?

Look Gabe, Elmo is on!

Do you want to play?

I can’t help but want [...]

It means Image Bearer. As we all bear the image of God having been made in His likeness.
It is my Fellowship. My church. My family. It is the realized dream/vision of my husband Samuel. It is something fought for over the last 6 years. It is God’s answer to a battleground of questions, growth, refining, [...]

A friend of mine gave me these. Some simple wildflowers from a little Amish stand near her home in Chestertown, which is idyllic like a Walt Whitman poem, as I have told her. I love them. I love their simple beauty. I love flowers, my home reflects it, but I love wild ones best. [...]

Broken Head

Joey took a tumble getting out of the car onto the curb… the result was a small abrasion with a VERY BIG reaction.
Once we calmed him, band-aided him and loved on him…. he announced, ” Hey guys, I broked my head, yeah, I reary did broked it.”
